DST viewer questions

Good to know.

What is a DST file?

DST is a common Tajima embroidery design format. StitchQuote reads its header and stitch commands so you can inspect the file without installing digitizing software.

How is stitch count calculated?

The Stitch Count shown here is the decoded normal stitch count. Jumps, color stops and the end command are kept separate, matching the validated StitchQuote semantics.

Does a DST file include thread colors?

DST files do not reliably carry real thread color names or thread numbers. Color Stops and the preview palette are visual segmentation only.

Is my DST file uploaded?

No. The file is read and parsed in your browser. The web app has no DST upload endpoint and does not require an account.
